Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, an initiative launched by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we organized a large-scale beach cleaning drive at Versova Chowpatty to support the Swachh Bharat Mission. This impactful event was graced by the presence of former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, and iconic film actor, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, who have both been strong advocates for the mission. Additionally, ocean conservationist and UN Champion of the Earth awardee, Mr. Afroz Shah, joined us with an enthusiastic group of volunteers and environmental activists.

The collaborative cleanup saw significant participation from the community, as people from various backgrounds came together to restore the beach. Mr. Shah, renowned for his extensive work on the Versova Beach cleanup, led the team in efficient cleaning strategies, using sustainable practices to ensure minimal environmental impact. Mr. Bachchan and Mr. Fadnavis also actively engaged with the volunteers, boosting morale and encouraging continued commitment to environmental stewardship. Together, we managed to clear a substantial amount of plastic waste, debris, and other pollutants, symbolizing a collective dedication to transforming public spaces and preserving marine ecosystems.

This initiative aimed not only to clean the beach but also to spread awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings and protecting our oceans. It was a step forward in realizing the vision of a Clean India, and we remain committed to organizing future events that promote environmental responsibility among citizens.
