An application was made by MLA Dr. Bharati Tai Lavekar to the then Chief Minister and current Deputy Chief Minister, Hon'ble Shri Devendra Fadnavis, for funds to remove the accumulated silt from Versova Creek. Hon’ble Shri Fadnavis approved this request and made available a fund of five crore rupees.
